Louie was an alley dog. He scrounged around for scraps all day and slept in a trash can. One day a flea jumped on him. Before Louie could start to scratch he heard the flea start to sing.
"Wow, you're good!' he exclaimed!
Right across the street from the alley was a talent agency. Louie had an idea. He stood out in front of the talent agency and pretended to sing. People were amazed.
A talent agent immediately signed Louie on and made him famous. Louis and his friend the flea went everywhere. They ate the best foods and slept in the best hotels.
But the one thing Louie never did was take a bath. Finally one day he was told to take a bath or else! So Louie took a bath. During his bath his friend the flea left. "I hate baths!" the flea yelled.
Louie was very sad. When he couldn't sing anyone his talent agent fired him. Louie went back to his alley. His friends asked him what happened.
"I cleaned up my act and and took a flea bath. Now I'm dirt poor and itching to be famous again."
